Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Julio Feliu got the match started through his kick off. Garin Litago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iratze Bajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edilberto Calatayud in the 11th minute of play forced Santiago De La Espada SD's goalkeeper Garin Litago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edilberto Calatayud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Garin Litago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garin Litago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Barral during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Paiandi CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santiago De La Espada SD:s goal. Aureliano Sacristán had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Jerico Vazquez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jerico Vazquez scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aureliano Sacristán, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Madariaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Francisco Madariaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 minutes, Rodney Zubiaga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santiago De La Espada SD and the Paiandi CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodney Zubiaga kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Madariaga in the 40th minute of play forced Paiandi CF's goalkeeper Aureliano Sacristán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago De La Espada SD's Francisco Elias got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Francisco Madariaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Madariaga to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Santiago De La Espada SD were awarded a corner. Jerico Vazquez went to the cornerflag to take it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Santiago De La Espada SD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Julio Feliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Francisco Madariaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Elias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Aureliano Sacristán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Iratze Bajo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paiandi CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santiago De La Espada SD the free kick. After 85 minutes, Naike Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santiago De La Espada SD and the Paiandi CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Santiago De La Espada SD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naike Cruz to maneuver through the defense. When Francisco Madariaga came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Santiago De La Espada SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Madariaga couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, Santiago De La Espada SD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodney Zubiaga to maneuver through the defense.
