Sebastiano Alfaro was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Maximino Valerón capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maximino Valerón really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 45th minute, Maximino Valerón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paco Sabina took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frutos Olmos. Frutos Olmos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eufemio Quevedo to make the kick off. Columbo Valdivia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frutos Olmos having to interfere. Paco Sabina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frutos Olmos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Columbo Valdivia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes, Silvino Darroja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caborana and the Cabanes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cabanes FC booed when Caborana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvino Darroja didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastiano Alfaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eufemio Quevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caborana's Columbo Valdivia got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
