Handi Otero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Columbo Valdivia in the 3rd minute of the match. Celio Gimenez hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Handi Otero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Macho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Handi Otero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paco Sabina's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Sebastiano Alfaro made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ronaldo Pascual sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Caborana's zone, Vito Aguilar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastiano Alfaro came out of the goal and Vito Aguilar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldo Pascual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celio Gimenez lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 27 minutes into the game, one of Dos Aguas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Caborana. Leonardo Macho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Handi Otero. 0-1. If Ronaldo Pascual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Columbo Valdivia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dos Aguas FC's goalkeeper Handi Otero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
