The Castrovaselle fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Castrovaselle's Lorien Canyelles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Lorien Canyelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castrovaselle's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorien Canyelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis-Jose Gibert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlo Orbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lleir Costa having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Beteta AD's zone, Lorien Canyelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis-Jose Gibert came out of the goal and Lorien Canyelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zarbonin Jaen charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zarbonin Jaen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Castrovaselle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zarbonin Jaen to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Lorien Canyelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis-Jose Gibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes Beteta AD got a freekick which was hit by Marco Diaz. Jordi Figueres struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Beteta AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Orbiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlo Orbiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lleir Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlo Orbiz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute Nevada Zapatero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis-Jose Gibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlo Orbiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lleir Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlo Orbiz ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, Castrovaselle's Veto Uria got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Jordi Figueres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lleir Costa having to interfere. Luis-Jose Gibert was a little too slow when Lorien Canyelles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-2.
