Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benito Diaz started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Rolando Titos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillermo Garrido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vermudo Castan hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Benito Diaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itoiz's Guillermo Garrido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Itoiz's Guillermo Garrido got control of the ball when Indartsu Cao tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Benito Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute, one of La Joya:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Joya. If Oriche Cayuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Garrido having to interfere. Xurdin Rosario charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xurdin Rosario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xurdin Rosario kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Benito Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Garrido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oriche Cayuela was the one to do the kick off. Nicanor Leyva made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Adalberto Zapatero sent off a good shot on target. After 57 minutes, Etxepare Rapado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Joya and the Itoiz players grew even worse after the yellow card. 64 minutes into the game, Rolando Titos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itoiz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Joya the free kick. If Benito Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes, Vermudo Castan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itoiz and the La Joya players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vermudo Castan kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes, La Joya's Xulian De la Rosa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guillermo Garrido came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Joya reached it. In the 73rd minute, Benito Diaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillermo Garrido was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Nicanor Leyva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oriche Cayuela in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, La Joya's goalkeeper Nicanor Leyva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adalberto Zapatero. Ramone Casta's late challenge caught a La Joya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramone Casta helped the player get up and apologised. Ramone Casta hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Diaz in the 83rd minute of play forced Itoiz's goalkeeper Guillermo Garrido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Joya's Indartsu Cao got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 2-1 became the score in the 86th minute when Benito Diaz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Benito Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Guillermo Garrido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Garrido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Itoiz's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
