Gillermo Palomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Garrido having to interfere. Guillermo Garrido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argenis Castaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When Xurdin Rosario fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itoiz's protests and gave Xurdin Rosario a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Itoiz getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Xurdin Rosario hit a great ball. If Flavio Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gillermo Palomar in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillermo Garrido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Galego kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Guillermo Garrido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gillermo Palomar in the 26th minute of the match. Gillermo Palomar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Guillermo Garrido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Flavio Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Garrido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Itoiz's zone, Gillermo Palomar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Garrido came out of the goal and Gillermo Palomar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Itoiz getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Vermudo Castan hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oriche Cayuela to make the kick off. Flavio Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Itoiz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With an all-out effort, sportin de munich's Guillermo Garrido threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from José Galego, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itoiz reached it. In the 88th minute Oriche Cayuela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Nobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, sportin de munich's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Zapatero came free, but Raphael Nobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Itoiz's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
