The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adalberto Zapatero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Barral having to interfere. If Oriche Cayuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guillermo Garrido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gonza Dellasierra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Guillermo Garrido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Itoiz got a freekick which was hit by Vermudo Castan. Alexander Barral came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Itoiz's Oriche Cayuela. But to his dismay, Oriche Cayuela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alexander Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Zapatero in the 31st minute of the match. Hernando Cacheres's late challenge caught a Itoiz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernando Cacheres helped the player get up and apologised. Oriche Cayuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Adalberto Zapatero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Alexander Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Zeledon Canyelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 61 minutes into the game, Zeledon Canyelles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Guillermo Garrido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oriche Cayuela in the 65th minute of play forced Prenafeta AFC's goalkeeper Alexander Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Garrido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Canyelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Prenafeta AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Itoiz:s goal. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Itoiz's Matia Sans got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alexander Barral. Prenafeta AFC's Alexander Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramone Casta in the 77th minute of play. If Zeledon Canyelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matia Sans charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matia Sans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Itoiz walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
