An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezker Mayol in the 12th minute of play forced Foronda's goalkeeper Montes Villa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Foronda's goalkeeper Montes Villa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. El Pla De Manlleu SD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Chinto Blazquez scored to the left of an out of position Guillen Ramirez, making the score, 1-0. Ezker Mayol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Montes Villa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esquipula Abajas's late challenge caught a Foronda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esquipula Abajas helped the player get up and apologised. With an all-out effort, Foronda's Guillen Ramirez threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Xaime Belalcaraz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 28th minute, Chinto Blazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezker Mayol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montes Villa having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Xaime Belalcaraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foronda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xaime Belalcaraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, El Pla De Manlleu SD's Ezker Mayol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Montes Villa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Aarón Huerta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, El Pla De Manlleu SD's goalkeeper Guillen Ramirez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patxi Garate.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xaime Belalcaraz to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, El Pla De Manlleu SD's Rufino Abril seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rufino Abril the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of El Pla De Manlleu SD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rufino Abril had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Bazil Ribeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Montes Villa came out and tried to block the shot, but Bazil Ribeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 67th minute. If Handi Macías had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aarón Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bazil Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Montes Villa having to make a save. A collision led to Foronda getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jose-Manuel Cordoba hit a great ball. Aarón Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Foronda players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
