Gení Doblass short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Frederick Baltanas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in La Cueva Del Pajaro's zone, Millano Pacheco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yoel Cortes came out of the goal and Millano Pacheco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfronso Cazorla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoel Cortes having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Amerigo Belalcaraz put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Imperial a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
After 61 played minutes Abejundio Madariaga rounded La Cueva Del Pajaro's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Millano Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Yoel Cortes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
