In the 11th minute Vaden Andres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederick Baltanas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benja Candela took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frederick Baltanas. Imperial's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Millano Pacheco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florencio Landa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Millano Pacheco might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florencio Landa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Millano Pacheco ran back to his position shaking his head. Nacho Dorado was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in A Santo Tome SD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Rico March made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Imperial booed when A Santo Tome SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benja Candela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florencio Landa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Millano Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Abejundio Madariaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Landa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, Abejundio Madariaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imperial's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abejundio Madariaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute, Millano Pacheco made a precise shot to the right of Florencio Landa. A Santo Tome SD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0.
