But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pacorro Maroto couldn't finish the play. Ibon Urbina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Quintanilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Yuri March ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bastian Clemente was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Gabi Higuera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sallent's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Denis Quintanilla 27 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 30th minute, Ciudad Jardín AFC's Denis Quintanilla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ibon Urbina. Ibon Urbina yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Luke Ucero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sallent's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luke Ucero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabi Higuera got free with Ibon Urbina in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Carolo De Pedro fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sallent's protests and gave Carolo De Pedro a yellow card for diving instead. Carolo De Pedro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ibon Urbina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pacorro Maroto in the 55th minute of the match. If Gabi Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri March received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bastian Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Denis Quintanilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Sallent's Chano Pareja nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bastian Clemente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 88th minute, Tano Clemente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sallent's Ibon Urbina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Higuera in the 91st minute of play. Denis Quintanilla took the ball and in the 100 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ibon Urbina. Ibon Urbina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3.
