Milian Carceles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oton Alvarez in the 6th minute of the match. When Xacobo Clemente came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Montiel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xacobo Clemente couldn't finish the play. The Montiel fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Montiel's Xacobo Clemente looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. La Alfoquia AD's Oton Alvarez got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oton Alvarez in the 30th minute of play forced Montiel's goalkeeper Milian Carceles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oton Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Milian Carceles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Xacobo Clemente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xacobo Clemente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Adalberto Baltanas managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Alfoquia AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Baltanas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milian Carceles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 minutes, Peio Companys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montiel and the La Alfoquia AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Peio Companys kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Adalberto Baltanas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milian Carceles having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Montiel's Xacobo Clemente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliu Zubizarreta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mané Rienda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliu Zubizarreta having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Baltanas in the 65th minute of play forced Montiel's goalkeeper Milian Carceles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Oton Alvarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Alfoquia AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 76 minutes of play, La Alfoquia AD's Oton Alvarez made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Milian Carceles was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Montiel's zone, Adalberto Baltanas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milian Carceles came out of the goal and Adalberto Baltanas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Montiel booed when La Alfoquia AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Carro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in La Alfoquia AD's zone, Xacobo Clemente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliu Zubizarreta came out of the goal and Xacobo Clemente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xacobo Clemente received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eliu Zubizarreta came out and tried to block the shot, but Xacobo Clemente slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 93rd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Montiel eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
