An unexpectedly hard shot by Casado Arias in the 19th minute of play forced Los Cangrejos's goalkeeper Felipe Puyol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Puyol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Esteban went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Andrés-Fernando Suarez struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Felipe Puyol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Ander Acha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medardo Valines in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Los Cangrejos's Airas Valdés nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ander Acha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ander Acha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Medardo Valines in the 38th minute of the match. Medardo Valines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ander Acha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serafin Shantala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Villamiel De Toledo! Rami Dorado walked up to take care of the penalty kick. Airas Valdés might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ander Acha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Airas Valdés ran back to his position shaking his head. Medardo Valines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ander Acha having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Villamiel De Toledo's goal looked a bit too open when Serafin Shantala came free, but Ander Acha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrés-Fernando Suarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Felipe Puyol made a huge save. In the 77th minute, Rufino Cortes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Felipe Puyol, passed just outside the right post. Ander Acha came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Cangrejos's Serafin Shantala. But to his dismay, Serafin Shantala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Dorio De Toro charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorio De Toro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Villamiel De Toledo booed when Los Cangrejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorio De Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Medardo Valines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Medardo Valines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
