Mosen Bacete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Quijana in the 5th minute of the match. Marcos Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benigno Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Jaen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Echeto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. When Baiardo Carrasco, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 14 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mosen Bacete was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Derwin Rey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Echeto having to interfere. Marcos Jaen struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Enrique Echeto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horta FC. When Marcos Jaen came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Horta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Jaen couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Marcos Jaen put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Enrique Echeto. Derwin Rey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Enrique Echeto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Echeto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Derwin Rey's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Marcos Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Echeto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horta FC's Marcos Jaen got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Derwin Rey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Echeto. Las Palmas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Derwin Rey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Mosen Bacete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hegoi Escobar in the 43rd minute of play. When Marcos Jaen came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Horta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Jaen couldn't finish the play. Derwin Rey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Echeto having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Derwin Rey made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Derwin Rey put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Enrique Echeto. Derwin Rey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrique Echeto having to make a save. Enrique Echeto made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Marcos Jaen sent off a good shot on target. Enrique Echeto was a little too slow when Derwin Rey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-5. If Derwin Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Baiardo Carrasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Las Palmas and the Horta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baiardo Carrasco hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Marcos Jaen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Echeto having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Derwin Rey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Las Palmas getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Xaime Climent hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Horta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hegoi Escobar came free, but Mosen Bacete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Horta FC's zone, Baiardo Carrasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mosen Bacete came out of the goal and Baiardo Carrasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegoi Escobar in the 94th minute of play forced Horta FC's goalkeeper Mosen Bacete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
