The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anchel Mala helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Luzaga booed when Cosuenda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anchel Mala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mergildo Aguado struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Herberto Riba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luzaga. After 26 minutes, Euloxu Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luzaga and the Cosuenda players grew even worse after the yellow card. Herberto Riba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Xamo España sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herberto Riba made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Xamo España sent off a good shot on target. Herberto Riba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Selmo Planes got free with Herberto Riba in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 69th minute of the match Anchel Mala completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anchel Mala a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Luzaga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosuenda the free kick. In the 74th minute, Tacito Bouzon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xamo España's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Herberto Riba firmly grabbed it by the left post. 85 minutes into the match, Araoz Bastida dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herberto Riba, 0-3. With a little luck, Cosuenda's Herberto Riba got control of the ball when Xamo España tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Mergildo Aguado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herberto Riba. Mergildo Aguado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Selmo Planes got free with Herberto Riba in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luzaga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
