An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Abellan in the 21st minute of play forced PHOENIX BLACK's goalkeeper Jimeno Carballido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Raúl Abellan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PHOENIX BLACK's Jimeno Carballido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurelian Mergea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Flores in the 30th minute of play. PHOENIX BLACK's Jimeno Carballido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Purnomo Pornsaptaveekoon in the 35th minute of play. Aurelian Mergea made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when René Tobias sent off a good shot on target. After 40 played minutes Deportivo La Korumha got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Ahlgren. In the 42nd minute, PHOENIX BLACK's Joel Domenech ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelian Mergea. Aurelian Mergea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 46 played minutes PHOENIX BLACK got a freekick which was hit by Joel Domenech. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Crespo in the 47th minute of play forced PHOENIX BLACK's goalkeeper Jimeno Carballido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Domenech was the one to do the kick off. Tommy Ahlgren kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Raúl Abellan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jimeno Carballido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
