Manolo Mas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Agapito Zabalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Bela Guerrero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pacorro Olmedo. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Pacorro Olmedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bela Guerrero's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The supporters of ODonnell Mad booed when Alcañiz CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xan Helguera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agapito Zabalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xan Helguera in the 17th minute of the match. Silvino Vazquez charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvino Vazquez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silvino Vazquez hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute of the match Jesús Casado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agapito Zabalo skillfully saved the ball. In the 21st match minute, ODonnell Mad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Moreno to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Benja Velasco put in a rough tackle. In the 24th minute, Benja Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in ODonnell Mad's zone, Jesús Casado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agapito Zabalo came out of the goal and Jesús Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agapito Zabalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesús Casado's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 33rd minute, Manolo Mas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alcañiz CD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, ODonnell Mad's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Rey came free, but Agapito Zabalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes Alcañiz CD got a freekick which was hit by Xan Helguera. Alcañiz CD's Pacorro Olmedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Alcañiz CD from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute Bela Guerrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pacorro Olmedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Bela Guerrero in the 43rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 46 minutes into the game, Alcañiz CD's Manolo Mas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Agapito Zabalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The ODonnell Mad players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alcañiz CD were winning 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesús Casado was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Alcañiz CD got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Goyanes. 56 minutes into the match, Jesús Casado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Agapito Zabalo, 1-3. If Jesús Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ODonnell Mad's Agapito Zabalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesús Casado in the 63rd minute of play. If Ismael Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ximo Rico fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ODonnell Mad's protests and gave Ximo Rico a yellow card for diving instead. 69 minutes into the game, one of ODonnell Mad:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bela Guerrero in the 80th minute of play forced Alcañiz CD's goalkeeper Pacorro Olmedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Bela Guerrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pacorro Olmedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Bela Guerrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Pacorro Olmedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Jesús Casado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Agapito Zabalo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Alcañiz CD's Xan Helguera got a free kick in the 88th minute. Alcañiz CD's Pacorro Olmedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bela Guerrero in the 89th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, ODonnell Mad's goalkeeper Agapito Zabalo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesús Casado. Jesús Casado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
