Bitxintxo Prieto's late challenge caught a La Mora CAT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bitxintxo Prieto helped the player get up and apologised. 17 minutes into the match, UD Almería's Emenon Fuente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marc-André Grifoll narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Emenon Fuente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marc-André Grifoll was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Guillen Montiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Policarpio in the 20th minute of the match. Platon Blazquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc-André Grifoll having to interfere. Marc-André Grifoll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emenon Fuente's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Guillen Montiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Policarpio in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Coutinho in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillen Montiel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jose Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillen Montiel made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Jose Policarpio sent off a good shot on target. Du Jian Chen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Guillen Montiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Coutinho struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Guillen Montiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Mora CAT. After having played for 63 minutes, Platon Blazquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Almería's supporters crossed their fingers, but Platon Blazquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, La Mora CAT's Alarico Trinidad got a free kick in the 65th minute. La Mora CAT made a substitution. Tato Feria replaced Du Jian Chen. 67 minutes into the match, La Mora CAT's goal looked a bit too open when Emenon Fuente came free, but Marc-André Grifoll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldinho Gaucho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Guillen Montiel made a huge save. La Mora CAT's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severino Coutinho in the 82nd minute. UD Almería's Platon Blazquez got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillen Montiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tato Feria in the 95th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
