Velasco Ocaña had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Playo Urruti's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Playo Urruti scored 1-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Velasco Ocaña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Anibal Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Ledo in the 56th minute of the match. Juvenal Llorente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Juantxis Futbol Club's Playo Urruti got a free kick in the 69th minute. Kivimaki FC made a substitution. Máximo Buendia replaced Gaizka Rallo. The supporters of Kivimaki FC booed when Juantxis Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Playo Urruti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ponc Roig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Velasco Ocaña having to interfere.
