Marco Pedriza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Vidales in the 6th minute of the match. Sixto Fraco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Galnares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RACIN DE CHAWEN were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Nàstic de Tarragona's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Otto Kartasasmita took the corner. Caetano Galnares might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sixto Fraco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Galnares ran back to his position shaking his head. Sixto Fraco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Galnares in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of RACIN DE CHAWEN booed when Nàstic de Tarragona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Palmquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Chico Vidales cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marco Pedriza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 played minutes RACIN DE CHAWEN got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Galnares. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Galnares in the 41st minute of play forced Nàstic de Tarragona's goalkeeper Sixto Fraco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RACIN DE CHAWEN's Marco Pedriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Vidales in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Nàstic de Tarragona were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caetano Galnares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Galnares in the 59th minute of play forced Nàstic de Tarragona's goalkeeper Sixto Fraco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Caetano Galnares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Fraco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RACIN DE CHAWEN made a substitution. Marcelino Verdeja replaced Caetano Galnares. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chico Vidales in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Pedriza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Marcelino Verdeja made a precise shot to the right of Sixto Fraco. Nàstic de Tarragona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Nàstic de Tarragona's Iñaki Portillo was substituted for Chico Vidales. Marcelino Verdeja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixto Fraco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Iñaki Portillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nàstic de Tarragona's supporters rose to their feet, but Iñaki Portillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Pedriza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of RACIN DE CHAWEN booed when Nàstic de Tarragona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hieronim Wlodyga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joan Oriol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Pedriza having to interfere. Marcelino Verdeja scored 2-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sixto Fraco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nàstic de Tarragona players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for RACIN DE CHAWEN.
