Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Hammel's Gynther Leick started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Tobias Hejmind fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hammel's protests and gave Tobias Hejmind a yellow card for diving instead. Tobias Hejmind hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Hammel's Rudolf Verrier got a free kick in the 14th minute. Hektor Kingbo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If August Løjstrup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Sigfrid Hjelmgart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peer Bredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingolf Hardov in the 28th minute of the match. Peer Bredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ingolf Hardov went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Hammel's Gynther Leick in the 37th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Balder Lilhammer was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Skovgade through an amazing save. After a defensive mix-up in Hammel's zone, Ingolf Hardov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peer Bredo came out of the goal and Ingolf Hardov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gynther Leick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes Skovgade got a freekick which was hit by Jørn Dressel. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingolf Hardov to strike the kick off in the second half. Ingolf Hardov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Peer Bredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Sigfrid Hjelmgart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skovgade's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigfrid Hjelmgart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peer Bredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Balder Lilhammer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gynther Leick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gynther Leick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes Hammel got a freekick which was hit by Miklos Tevik. Tobias Hejmind hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Peer Bredo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hektor Kingbo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gynther Leick in the 79th minute of play forced Skovgade's goalkeeper Balder Lilhammer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Sigfrid Hjelmgart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peer Bredo. Hammel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sigfrid Hjelmgart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 89 minutes into the game, Sigfrid Hjelmgart cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Peer Bredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miklos Tevik hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Peer Bredo made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Sigfrid Hjelmgart sent off a good shot on target. The Hammel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Skovgade's performance. The match ended with a win for Skovgade.
