The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Rye AC's Svenne Arendrup nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Konstantin Melgaard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lennarth Gravang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Konstantin Melgaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Svenne Arendrup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Melgaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elmer Falkenhaug made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigurt Wildenrath in the 12th minute. Jonny Vyman charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Rudy Beikes took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elmer Falkenhaug. Elmer Falkenhaug dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Rudy Beikes came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Vrå fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudy Beikes couldn't finish the play. In the 43rdth minute of the game Svenne Arendrup who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vrå's Konstantin Melgaard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Svenne Arendrup to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eskil Hardysøe during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olle Knøster's late challenge caught a Rye AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olle Knøster helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vrå fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Rye AC's Frands Barger got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Konstantin Melgaard. Lennarth Gravang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Svenne Arendrup recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 played minutes Rye AC got a freekick which was hit by Kurth Stampe. After 97 minutes Rye AC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peer Leerhøy who took care of the corner kick.
