The audience was convinced that Sam Theisberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicholas Thiemer was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 11th minute Sam Theisberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Thiemer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Aksel Ibsvang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gellerup AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Aksel Ibsvang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Nicholas Thiemer made a huge save. Klement Bøttzauw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Carbonnier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Rungsted FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Rungsted FC's Gunther Kauri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 47 minutes, Aksel Ibsvang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gellerup AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aksel Ibsvang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gunther Kauri to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Gellerup AC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thomas Sthapornpol who took care of the corner kick. Sam Theisberg scored 2-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicholas Thiemer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 60 minutes into the game, Gunther Kauri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Klement Bøttzauw was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicholas Thiemer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Theisberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aksel Ibsvang in the 71st minute of play forced Rungsted FC's goalkeeper Nicholas Thiemer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunther Kauri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klement Bøttzauw having to interfere. A hard shot 79 in the game by Edvardt Kurø from a close distance when the talented Klement Bøttzauw managed to make a qualified save. Gellerup AC's players were relieved. 80 minutes into the match, Rungsted FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Theisberg came free, but Nicholas Thiemer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aksel Ibsvang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicholas Thiemer was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Gunther Kauri had several of the Gellerup AC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Klement Bøttzauw as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 93rd match minute, Rungsted FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Hørlykke to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes Rungsted FC got a freekick which was hit by Gunther Kauri. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rungsted FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
