Stuart Bredved made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Nejbjerg in the 13th minute of play forced Arnøje's goalkeeper Stuart Bredved to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sundby getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Owe Ulvseth hit a great ball. Stuart Bredved took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sonny Nejbjerg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clavs Petresch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Loke Loos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gert Folsted's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loke Loos was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Sonny Nejbjerg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sonny Nejbjerg scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stuart Bredved, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Folsted in the 33rd minute of play forced Sundby's goalkeeper Loke Loos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sundby getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Owe Ulvseth hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Arnøje's Therkild Sekjær tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A hard shot 40 in the game by Clavs Petresch from a close distance when the talented Loke Loos managed to make a qualified save. Sundby's players were relieved. Gert Folsted struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Loke Loos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arnøje. A collision led to Sundby getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Owe Ulvseth hit a great ball. Loke Loos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Henze in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Sundby were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sonny Nejbjerg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Loke Loos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clavs Petresch in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gert Folsted in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loke Loos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Arnøje getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Leonard Henze hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes Arnøje got a freekick which was hit by Victor Rymark. Loke Loos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Folsted, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clavs Petresch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Loke Loos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Henze during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Arnøje's Leonard Henze got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 85th minute, Sonny Nejbjerg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clavs Petresch took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loke Loos. Loke Loos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When Leo Dyling fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arnøje's protests and gave Leo Dyling a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st match minute, Arnøje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Dyling to maneuver through the defense. Loke Loos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clavs Petresch in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sundby had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
