Curt Jablonsky hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes, Findinge SIK's Poul Westensee shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sepp Munkbøl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Findinge SIK reached it. In the 8th minute of the match Terri Sundø sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leif Lockenwitz skillfully saved the ball. In the 14th match minute, Gjerrild was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muhammad Lejtoft to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Bertrand Pedersen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leif Lockenwitz was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The supporters of Gjerrild booed when Findinge SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Nordbirk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leif Lockenwitz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bertrand Pedersen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. A collision led to Gjerrild getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eskild Miland hit a great ball. Findinge SIK's Leif Lockenwitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertrand Pedersen in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertrand Pedersen made a kick off. Bertrand Pedersen scored 2-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leif Lockenwitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bertrand Pedersen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leif Lockenwitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Vagnar Gobjerg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sepp Munkbøl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Vagnar Gobjerg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sepp Munkbøl. Gjerrild's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vagnar Gobjerg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Leif Lockenwitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Jitfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 67 minutes, Dennis Jitfeldt made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Findinge SIK's Leif Lockenwitz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Leif Lockenwitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertrand Pedersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Leif Lockenwitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertrand Pedersen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vagnar Gobjerg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sepp Munkbøl firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Findinge SIK's Balthasar Nedensted got a free kick in the 88th minute. Bertrand Pedersen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Lockenwitz having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gjerrild had won after a very even match.
