Horbelöv's Theis Mylsted proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Horbelöv from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Horbelöv's goal looked a bit too open when Thue Dirksen came free, but Theis Mylsted reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute of the match Rune Kimø shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacob Redsted showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kristian Gjogvara kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Jacob Redsted showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainar Bouet, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Bob Hernå sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salten SIK's Jacob Redsted played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rainar Bouet in the 29th minute of play. Theis Mylsted made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thue Dirksen in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Bob Hernå managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salten SIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob Hernå was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rainar Bouet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacob Redsted showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainar Bouet, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ulrik Harmø took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacob Redsted. Jacob Redsted dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Horbelöv's Kristian Gjogvara got a free kick in the 44th minute. Thue Dirksen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thue Dirksen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacob Redsted made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rainar Bouet in the 57th minute. Bob Hernå fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theis Mylsted having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Salten SIK's Thue Dirksen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theis Mylsted narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rainar Bouet might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacob Redsted. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rainar Bouet ran back to his position shaking his head. When Reiner Pleth fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horbelöv's protests and gave Reiner Pleth a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Salten SIK booed when Horbelöv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reiner Pleth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theis Mylsted made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thue Dirksen in the 77th minute of play. Bob Hernå sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theis Mylsted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thue Dirksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Theis Mylsted showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Hernå in the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Horbelöv's zone, Thue Dirksen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theis Mylsted came out of the goal and Thue Dirksen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horbelöv's Theis Mylsted played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Hernå in the 95th minute of play. The Horbelöv supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Horbelöv would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
