The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9thth minute of the game Thue Dirksen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Søballe AC's Romeo Thorshavn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Søballe AC's zone, Bob Hernå stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Thorshavn came out of the goal and Bob Hernå tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sten Elbak was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Günther Jonasson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jacob Redsted came out and tried to block the shot, but Günther Jonasson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Bob Hernå sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sten Elbak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jacob Redsted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Günther Jonasson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Sten Elbak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Sten Elbak notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Salten SIK's Jacob Redsted. Jacob Redsted was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Günther Jonasson struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Jacob Redsted didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Søballe AC. In the 67th minute, Bob Hernå got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st match minute, Søballe AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ochsendorf to maneuver through the defense. Thue Dirksen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 74th minute, Henrik Brintholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Günther Jonasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jacob Redsted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bob Hernå recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romeo Thorshavn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thue Dirksen, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Thue Dirksen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thue Dirksen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Thorshavn having to interfere. Søballe AC's Romeo Thorshavn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Søballe AC from getting a goal against them. Thue Dirksen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Thorshavn having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Søballe AC's Balthazar Barmer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Søballe AC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Salten SIK for a fine match.
