Louie Pien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kåre Fuglsang's late challenge caught a Kvistgård FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kåre Fuglsang helped the player get up and apologised. Kåre Fuglsang hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, Ganderup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Kølgaard to maneuver through the defense. Mads Lave fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Bekhøi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ganderup's zone, Petter Gelskov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Helgehn came out of the goal and Petter Gelskov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. August Mynthe charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed August Mynthe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Therkild Stokkebroe in the 23rd minute of play forced Ganderup's goalkeeper Rene Helgehn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mads Lave in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philip Bekhøi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mads Lave took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Bekhøi. Philip Bekhøi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ganderup's Rene Helgehn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Gelskov in the 33rd minute of play. Louie Pien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Helgehn having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Therkild Stokkebroe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Louie Pien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Mynthe got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 38th minute, August Mynthe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Louie Pien made a kick off. With his leg Rene Helgehn managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Kvistgård FC's Therkild Stokkebroe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rene Helgehn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Therkild Stokkebroe in the 63rd minute. Therkild Stokkebroe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louie Pien received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rene Helgehn came out and tried to block the shot, but Louie Pien slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 67th minute. Louie Pien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louie Pien struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Rene Helgehn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kvistgård FC. Mads Lave sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Ganderup's goalkeeper Rene Helgehn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Therkild Stokkebroe. In the 91st minute, Jan Kølgaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kåre Fuglsang hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Therkild Stokkebroe got free with Rene Helgehn in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Kvistgård FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ganderup.
