Laus Finkler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thøger Malfred, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Gordon Solholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Ålbæk's Jens Brixgart broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Herman Makowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Bakmand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Makowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Bakmand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herman Makowski in the 19th minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ålbæk's goalkeeper Dennis Bakmand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ronni Blissard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Bakmand having to interfere. Niklas Sakslev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Terkild Almtorp might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laus Finkler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Terkild Almtorp ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Ålbæk's Niklas Sakslev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laus Finkler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Sakslev in the 39th minute of play forced Ølstykke FV's goalkeeper Laus Finkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ølstykke FV's Laus Finkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terkild Almtorp in the 40th minute of play. Terkild Almtorp struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Laus Finkler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ålbæk. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Terkild Almtorp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ålbæk's supporters rose to their feet, but Terkild Almtorp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laus Finkler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Niklas Sakslev made the kick off in the second half. Laus Finkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Sakslev in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Ølstykke FV booed when Ålbæk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Sakslev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egon Tankred scored 1-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennis Bakmand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Ølstykke FV's goalkeeper Laus Finkler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Terkild Almtorp. Egon Tankred received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dennis Bakmand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ålbæk booed when Ølstykke FV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klemens Faulov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niklas Sakslev struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Laus Finkler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ålbæk. Egon Tankred kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Laus Finkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Sakslev in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niklas Sakslev in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laus Finkler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Egon Tankred had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Sakslev in the 89th minute of play forced Ølstykke FV's goalkeeper Laus Finkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Herman Makowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Bakmand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ålbæk players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ølstykke FV.
