When Smidstrup's Kresten Vilner in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ålbæk's goalie prevented a goal. Smidstrup's Reinhardt Solsbæk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Sakslev in the 4th minute of play. Pedro Sejbjerg kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Reinhardt Solsbæk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Sakslev in the 8th minute of the match. Niklas Sakslev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinhardt Solsbæk having to interfere. Thøger Malfred hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Artur Karlby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dennis Bakmand showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Vagner Venov suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Torkild Mayne fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ålbæk's protests and gave Torkild Mayne a yellow card for diving instead. Torkild Mayne hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Urholt in the 18th minute of play forced Ålbæk's goalkeeper Dennis Bakmand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ålbæk booed when Smidstrup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Therkil Gebbel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Niklas Sakslev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Smidstrup defense, Terkild Almtorp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reinhardt Solsbæk. The Smidstrup fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reinhardt Solsbæk should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Pierre Urholt made the kick off in the second half. Smidstrup's Reinhardt Solsbæk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Sakslev in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niklas Sakslev in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reinhardt Solsbæk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Kresten Vilner came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Smidstrup fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kresten Vilner couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Smidstrup defense, Niklas Sakslev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reinhardt Solsbæk. The Smidstrup fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reinhardt Solsbæk should have stopped the shot. Reinhardt Solsbæk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terkild Almtorp in the 77th minute of play. Reinhardt Solsbæk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niklas Sakslev's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 80th match minute, Smidstrup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Urholt to maneuver through the defense. Smidstrup's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
