Pelle Hjarup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hagbard Branderskov, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Mathies Clausholt came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Snertinge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathies Clausholt couldn't finish the play. Hagbard Branderskov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Pelle Hjarup tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Snertinge fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Snertinge's Hagbard Branderskov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mathies Clausholt might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pelle Hjarup. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathies Clausholt ran back to his position shaking his head. Pelle Hjarup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathies Clausholt, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Hagbard Branderskov notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Nyborg's Pelle Hjarup. Pelle Hjarup was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laurits Schjelbred charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurits Schjelbred the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Laurits Schjelbred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathies Clausholt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathies Clausholt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelle Hjarup having to interfere. Hagbard Branderskov struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Pelle Hjarup didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Snertinge. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The long shot by Aske Søjvang in the 72nd minute really tested Pelle Hjarup's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Pelle Hjarup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hagbard Branderskov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
