The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christoffer Ambrose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Rosmund in the 4th minute of play. Knagstrup FV's Christoffer Ambrose played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Glamsgaard in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Olof Kilhof notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Kjæstrup's Bernhardt Valkenstjerne. Bernhardt Valkenstjerne was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 16 minutes into the match, Knagstrup FV's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Glamsgaard came free, but Christoffer Ambrose reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Peter Rosmund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kjæstrup fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 24 minutes of play, Kjæstrup's Claus Glamsgaard made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christoffer Ambrose was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Rosmund in the 27th minute of play forced Knagstrup FV's goalkeeper Christoffer Ambrose to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Herluf Herkert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Claus Glamsgaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kjæstrup's zone, Olof Kilhof stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernhardt Valkenstjerne came out of the goal and Olof Kilhof tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Claus Glamsgaard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kjæstrup fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Knagstrup FV's Christoffer Ambrose proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Knagstrup FV from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Claus Glamsgaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoffer Ambrose was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Peter Rosmund got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bernhardt Valkenstjerne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herluf Herkert in the 64th minute of the match. Bernhardt Valkenstjerne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herluf Herkert, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Claus Glamsgaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoffer Ambrose having to interfere. Peter Rosmund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Christoffer Ambrose tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-4 became the score in the 90th minute when Claus Glamsgaard elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Kjæstrup's Peter Rosmund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christoffer Ambrose narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olof Kilhof sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Kjæstrup supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kjæstrup would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
