The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Harald Sombæk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Herman Joensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Sombæk, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald Sombæk in the 12th minute of play forced Hegningen's goalkeeper Herman Joensen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Asgar Steenfat in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herman Joensen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herman Joensen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harald Sombæk's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Harald Sombæk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Kragelund FC's Asfred Lyngborg got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of Hegningen booed when Kragelund FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asgar Steenfat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hegningen's Herman Joensen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Sombæk in the 29th minute of play. Herman Joensen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Sombæk in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Harald Sombæk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Herman Joensen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Klas Barlev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Victor Eiersø managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Hegningen's John Baarsgaard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Klas Barlev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Hegningen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kragelund FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harald Sombæk was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Asgar Steenfat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Herman Joensen. The goal made the score 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Klas Barlev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hegningen's supporters rose to their feet, but Klas Barlev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Eiersø breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Eiersø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Baarsgaard in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match Mathies Breivig sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herman Joensen skillfully saved the ball. If Harald Sombæk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kragelund FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Marcus Lambert hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, Hegningen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Weile to maneuver through the defense. John Baarsgaard charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Baarsgaard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Victor Eiersø stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Baarsgaard's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. John Baarsgaard struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Victor Eiersø didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hegningen. Harald Sombæk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Kragelund FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
