The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. George Olbers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eigil Markan, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Ricardo Snæbums short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got George Olbers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 16 minutes into the match, Faarup's goal looked a bit too open when Eigil Markan came free, but George Olbers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikolaj Ullitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wictor Kagan's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Wictor Kagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Nikolaj Ullitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Faarup booed when Otting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uwe Engelsborg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Snæbum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. George Olbers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. George Olbers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eigil Markan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wictor Kagan in the 39th minute of play forced Otting's goalkeeper Nikolaj Ullitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wictor Kagan kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Wictor Kagan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Wictor Kagan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nikolaj Ullitz having to make a save. Oluf Golfort's late challenge caught a Otting's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oluf Golfort helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Otting booed when Faarup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oluf Golfort didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Claes Brixen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Faarup's George Olbers didn't even have to move. The crowd rose to their feet as Sergei Bogstad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikolaj Ullitz. That made the score 1-1 in the 64 minute of play. Nikolaj Ullitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oluf Golfort, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Eigil Markan made a precise shot to the right of George Olbers. Faarup's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ricardo Snæbum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Olbers having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Wictor Kagan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faarup's supporters rose to their feet, but Wictor Kagan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikolaj Ullitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Ricardo Snæbum notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Faarup's George Olbers. George Olbers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 94 minutes, Ricardo Snæbum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Otting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Snæbum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Otting's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
