Laus Hendrup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Hagerlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Tyndeskov in the 7th minute of play forced Mogenstrup FC's goalkeeper Laus Hendrup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Hvidbjerg FV's goalkeeper Rene Gæpert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Code. In the 12th minute, Marius Sindal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Code might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Gæpert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Code ran back to his position shaking his head. If Runar Hilstrup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th match minute, Hvidbjerg FV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Detlef Egstrand to maneuver through the defense. When Marius Sindal fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hvidbjerg FV's protests and gave Marius Sindal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mogenstrup FC booed when Hvidbjerg FV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Sindal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laus Hendrup prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laus Hendrup made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Hagerlund in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Runar Hilstrup to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Klas Gentye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute of the match Bo Lagerstedt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rene Gæpert skillfully saved the ball. Rene Gæpert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Code in the 54th minute of play. Leonard Hagerlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Laus Hendrup tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Tommy Tyndeskov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hvidbjerg FV's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Tyndeskov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laus Hendrup breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laus Hendrup made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Tyndeskov in the 72nd minute of play. Runar Hilstrup took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Gæpert. Rene Gæpert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Leonard Hagerlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laus Hendrup having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Tyndeskov in the 96th minute of play forced Mogenstrup FC's goalkeeper Laus Hendrup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laus Hendrup showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Tyndeskov in the 98th minute of the match. Many of Hvidbjerg FV's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hvidbjerg FV may have spent more time on the ball, but Mogenstrup FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
