The referee showed Frede Østergreen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute Marcos Bernfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudy Conrad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Frede Østergreen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Theodor Elverskov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudy Conrad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esben Denlov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Aidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Næblerød's Rudy Conrad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodor Elverskov in the 26th minute of play. Esben Denlov made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Arvid Elsten sent off a good shot on target. Peter Aidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Esben Denlov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Peter Aidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esben Denlov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kjelstrup FC booed when Næblerød was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salomon Uhlenhorst didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Kjelstrup FC's Niklaes Askvold got a free kick in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Aidt in the 63rd minute of play forced Kjelstrup FC's goalkeeper Esben Denlov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Kjelstrup FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Bernfeld to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Arvid Elsten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Ditlev Waananen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kjelstrup FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Næblerød the free kick.
