The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valentin Høstmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orla Farvig in the 8th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Haakon Krusted mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meltofte and the Taastrup players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Meltofte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haakon Krusted to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Høstmark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orla Farvig in the 12th minute of the match. When Ralf Esmark fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meltofte's protests and gave Ralf Esmark a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Ralf Esmark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Meltofte's Valentin Høstmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orla Farvig in the 17th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Lavrits Grølsted who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meltofte's Valentin Høstmark was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lavrits Grølsted fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Høstmark having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lavrits Grølsted's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Høstmark was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Meltofte's Ulf Olderman came free and shot a quick shot against goal 26 minutes in the game, fortunately Volmar Froda had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulf Olderman got free with Volmar Froda in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Meltofte booed when Taastrup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orla Farvig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Taastrup fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Meltofte's Haakon Krusted got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Volmar Froda. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lavrits Grølsted was the one to do the kick off. Volmar Froda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ibrahim Brasch in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulf Olderman in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Volmar Froda saved Taastrup from getting behind. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taastrup's goalkeeper Volmar Froda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Lavrits Grølsted came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Taastrup fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lavrits Grølsted couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Ibrahim Brasch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Taastrup's Orla Farvig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Høstmark narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Werner Fredbøg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Taastrup's Flemming Naschou broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 84 minutes into the match, Meltofte's goal looked a bit too open when Lavrits Grølsted came free, but Valentin Høstmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Volmar Froda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Olderman in the 90th minute of the match. With a little luck, Meltofte's Valentin Høstmark got control of the ball when Orla Farvig tried to sneak it across the goal line.
