After a rather tough play, Årby AC's Preben Purup got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tolstrup's Eske Parvo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Klaudius Skovsholm. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. If Ejner Nanholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tolstrup booed when Årby AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mortimer Børmose didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ejner Nanholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Frands Markner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frands Markner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ejner Nanholm in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Ejner Nanholm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Årby AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ejner Nanholm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eske Parvo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 33rd minute Preben Purup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frands Markner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Preben Purup in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frands Markner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ejner Nanholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Årby AC's Henning Oschlag sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frands Markner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Eske Parvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Østgart charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Østgart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Preben Purup to make the kick off. Preben Purup was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Gordon Embo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Preben Purup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eske Parvo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Årby AC booed when Tolstrup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Tjørnelunde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Årby AC's Joachim Jørdorf shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Frands Markner but with some difficulty. After having played for 78 minutes, Eske Parvo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tolstrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eske Parvo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ejner Nanholm struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Frands Markner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Årby AC. Årby AC's Preben Purup got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 96 played minutes Tolstrup got a freekick which was hit by Caspar Saxling. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
