After 9 played minutes Nyrup got a freekick which was hit by Uwe Pansby. In the 11th minute of the match Lenni Ritter shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eyvin Felk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Stefan Thorringer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nyrup's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Thorringer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bert Okley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th match minute, Nyrup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Sondheim to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Patrik Hvorvarp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nyrup's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agri the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nyrup's Patrik Hvorvarp got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 27 minutes, Bengt Sondheim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nyrup and the Agri players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes Nyrup got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Sondheim. In the 29th minute, Jan Omann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 30 minutes, Heine Mansig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nyrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heine Mansig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kristjan Torgius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eyvin Felk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristjan Torgius in the 35th minute of play. Stefan Thorringer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. With a little luck, Agri's Bert Okley got control of the ball when Heine Mansig tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Patrik Hvorvarp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nyrup's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Hvorvarp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bert Okley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Villy Lensdorf's late challenge caught a Nyrup's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Villy Lensdorf helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Agri getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Villy Lensdorf hit a great ball. Eyvin Felk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristjan Torgius, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kristjan Torgius to strike the kick off in the second half. Heine Mansig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Bert Okley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristjan Torgius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eyvin Felk having to interfere. Bert Okley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Thorringer in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan Omann during the 67th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 75 played minutes Nyrup got a freekick which was hit by Jess Balck. If Jan Omann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute.
