Rolf Hougs kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Pablo Gotha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Rowedder in the 8th minute of the match. Herluf Munkebæk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kurt Rowedder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kulhuse IF booed when Skodborg SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walder Koppel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Herluf Munkebæk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Gotha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Rowedder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nickolas Oue hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Wilhelm Bøhrnsen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luis Højgaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Amdi Simmelhack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kulhuse IF's Kurt Rowedder got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pablo Gotha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herluf Munkebæk, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. George Ørnsholt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amdi Simmelhack having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herluf Munkebæk in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pablo Gotha saved Skodborg SIK from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Ørnsholt got free with Amdi Simmelhack in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herluf Munkebæk in the 48th minute of play forced Skodborg SIK's goalkeeper Pablo Gotha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Luis Højgaard made the kick off in the second half. Amdi Simmelhack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Højgaard in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Luis Højgaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kurt Rowedder scored 0-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Gotha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
