The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nikolai Sejrbøl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gordon Sjumark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sophus Tylvad in the 18th minute of play. Ejvind Wyke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Detlef Breiø having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sophus Tylvad during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Badstrup getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Sophus Tylvad hit a great ball. Knud Vesterø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gordon Sjumark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Badstrup's Detlef Breiø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ejvind Wyke in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Badstrup's zone, Ejvind Wyke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Detlef Breiø came out of the goal and Ejvind Wyke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

A collision led to Skænkelsö getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Thorsten Doring hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Herman Wobbe fired a really elegant long shot, but Gordon Sjumark threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Gordon Sjumark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sophus Tylvad, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Asfred Ørhede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Skænkelsö's goal looked a bit too open when Sophus Tylvad came free, but Gordon Sjumark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sophus Tylvad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gordon Sjumark was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. If Knud Vesterø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Knud Vesterø got free with Gordon Sjumark in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Knud Vesterø managed to get in a good position for a shot. Badstrup's supporters rose to their feet, but Knud Vesterø was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gordon Sjumark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sophus Tylvad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tage Ørvad charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tage Ørvad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute, Skænkelsö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Ørvad to maneuver through the defense. After 89 minutes of play, Badstrup's Sophus Tylvad made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gordon Sjumark was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Skænkelsö booed when Badstrup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Nordenlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Badstrup supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Badstrup would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
