Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Micky Vinta got the match started through his kick off. Gynter Maxwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Askild Ierst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Nikolas Geshavn got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Grønsig booed when Årup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Saefkow didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Gynter Maxwell put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Askild Ierst. Edgar Saefkow's late challenge caught a Grønsig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Saefkow helped the player get up and apologised. Grønsig's Patrik Koester couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Årup. Gynter Maxwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Askild Ierst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gynter Maxwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Askild Ierst having to interfere. Vagnar Bakkendorf charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vagnar Bakkendorf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Årup's Micky Vinta in the 39th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Asmus Mårtensson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Grønsig through an amazing save. 40 minutes into the match, Årup's goal looked a bit too open when Gynter Maxwell came free, but Askild Ierst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gynter Maxwell in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Askild Ierst prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grønsig's Asmus Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Micky Vinta in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gynter Maxwell to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Årup got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Kilje. When Sigurd Kaster fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Årup's protests and gave Sigurd Kaster a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grønsig booed when Årup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigurd Kaster didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Årup's Askild Ierst got control of the ball when Rudolph Dorve tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 minutes Årup's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Patrik Koester who took care of the corner kick. Edgar Saefkow hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes Årup got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Saefkow. Gynter Maxwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Askild Ierst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Askild Ierst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gynter Maxwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gynter Maxwell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Askild Ierst read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Årup defense, Rudolph Dorve kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Askild Ierst. The Årup fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Askild Ierst should have stopped the shot. When Marc Villak fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grønsig's protests and gave Marc Villak a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Årup booed when Grønsig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Villak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gynter Maxwell in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Askild Ierst prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Årup's Micky Vinta got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
