Tor Welsch might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sepp Sporleder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tor Welsch ran back to his position shaking his head.

The wind increased when Ken Revel made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, one of Lyngby FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lyngby FC. Mathæus Augustenborg had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Silas Rogberg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Auning's Silas Rogberg after 55 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Lyngby FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-2. Romeo Germark's late challenge caught a Lyngby FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Lyngby FC booed when Auning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torben Wenkens didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tor Welsch came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Lyngby FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tor Welsch couldn't finish the play. The Lyngby FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
