Marthin Vejnø who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Sten Friisvang when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hvinderup's Simon Ikjær played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Rosschou in the 11th minute of play. Simon Ikjær showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berthel Axelstrøm, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Marthin Vejnø blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sten Friisvang having to make a save. Jann Rothoff succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. If Marthin Vejnø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marthin Vejnø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sten Friisvang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Brian Vesturheygg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lundby and the Hvinderup players grew even worse after the yellow card. Berthel Axelstrøm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Simon Ikjær tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marthin Vejnø came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Hvinderup fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marthin Vejnø couldn't finish the play. The referee gave Lundby a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thorkild Refbo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hvinderup's Simon Ikjær. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jann Rothoff to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Marthin Vejnø managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hvinderup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marthin Vejnø was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sten Friisvang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jann Rothoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jann Rothoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sten Friisvang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Hvinderup booed when Lundby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludwig Garder didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Marthin Vejnø got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Hvinderup's goalkeeper Simon Ikjær had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berthel Axelstrøm. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hvinderup's goalkeeper Simon Ikjær, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lundby had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
