A hard shot by Taus Chambord from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Uwe Knarreborg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Sigvald Staven took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Uwe Knarreborg to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Gellerup FV's Teddi Kruse got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Sigvald Staven recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Uwe Knarreborg. Sigvald Staven showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Sigvald Staven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Knarreborg having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Victor Wamborg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gellerup FV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Volling the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Gellerup FV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Wamborg to maneuver through the defense. Mathæus Vincelet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gellerup FV. Dan Leirvik's late challenge caught a Volling's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Leirvik helped the player get up and apologised. Gellerup FV's Uwe Knarreborg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Gellerup FV from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thorkil Vennerstrøm to strike the kick off in the second half. Uwe Knarreborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thorfinn Ebild in the 53rd minute of the match. Dan Leirvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mathæus Vincelet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Thorkil Vennerstrøm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mathæus Vincelet came out of the goal and Thorkil Vennerstrøm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sigvald Staven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thorfinn Ebild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Uwe Knarreborg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sigvald Staven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes, Reinhardt Krogby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Volling and the Gellerup FV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes Volling got a freekick which was hit by Reinhardt Krogby. In the 77th match minute, Gellerup FV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfred Rybov to maneuver through the defense. Dan Leirvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mathæus Vincelet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathæus Vincelet was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Thorkil Vennerstrøm capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Thorkil Vennerstrøm really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 97th minute, Sigvald Staven made a precise shot to the right of Uwe Knarreborg. Gellerup FV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Volling were victorious despite being under pressure from Gellerup FV for much of the match.
