In the 4th minute, Gorm Obinge fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marc Sterll, passed just outside the right post. Lenny Elslund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Marc Sterll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lenny Elslund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Saxild's goalkeeper Marc Sterll had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lenny Elslund. Paw Hedeskov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paw Hedeskov in the 30th minute of play forced Bjørnstrup's goalkeeper Sofus Fiskers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Paw Hedeskov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saxild's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paw Hedeskov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sofus Fiskers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torben Reippuert, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Marc Sterll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gorm Obinge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gorm Obinge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th match minute, Saxild was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Dam to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Saxild's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Filip Mejlund was slow to take the kick. During this time Bjørnstrup's players had a chance to rest. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paw Hedeskov made a kick off. Jonathan Romdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Maurits Conradsen notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Saxild's Marc Sterll. Marc Sterll was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frode Leivsson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Paw Hedeskov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenny Elslund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Sterll having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Saxild's Paw Hedeskov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Torben Reippuert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saxild's supporters rose to their feet, but Torben Reippuert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sofus Fiskers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torben Reippuert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Sofus Fiskers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 95 minutes, Ralf Kenhart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bjørnstrup and the Saxild players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bjørnstrup's Ralf Kenhart got a free kick in the 96th minute. Saxild's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
