Daniel Eising took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kurd Elhart. Kurd Elhart dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tejs Dannerby hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Thorkil Kragsberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurd Elhart having to interfere. If Daniel Eising had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sønderby's Thorkil Kragsberger got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bent Wardil shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Kurd Elhart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Eising, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carsten Jensin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 65 minutes, Thorkil Kragsberger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sønderby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorkil Kragsberger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Thorkil Kragsberger came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Sønderby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thorkil Kragsberger couldn't finish the play. Kristoffer Kussner was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carsten Jensin in the 84th minute of play forced Sønderby's goalkeeper Niki Villanueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sønderby's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Andre Bry scored to the left of an out of position Niki Villanueva, making the score, 1-2. Chants of Gjesing FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sønderby had held the ball for most of the match.
