Vilhelm Stjernehøj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunner Boldrup's late challenge caught a Fargo Valanciunas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunner Boldrup helped the player get up and apologised. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Sigmund Rohrsted successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 30 minutes into the game, Sixten Ernbro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sigmund Rohrsted. Sixten Ernbro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Sandal's Harry Wachner got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Sandal's Sixten Ernbro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sigmund Rohrsted narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Sandal's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Hagendal came free, but Torbjørn Rosenstand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vilhelm Stjernehøj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Fargo Valanciunas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sandal the free kick. Henrik Ormslev hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Sandal's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Wachner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixten Ernbro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vilhelm Stjernehøj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, one of Sandal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Harry Wachner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigmund Rohrsted having to interfere. The Sandal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fargo Valanciunas's performance. The match ended with a win for Fargo Valanciunas.
