Frederikshede SIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Egil Faxholt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Egil Faxholt came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Vesterborg SIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egil Faxholt couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Egil Faxholt made the kick off in the second half. Niklas Gurholdt made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jari Vaksø sent off a good shot on target. Frederikshede SIK were furious when Robin Thorager was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Frederikshede SIK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vesterborg SIK:s goal. The referee gave Vesterborg SIK a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gerner Heldarskard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Frederikshede SIK's Niklas Gurholdt. 0-2. If Jari Vaksø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niklas Gurholdt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egil Faxholt in the 66th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vesterborg SIK's zone, Christopher Stansen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathæus Baldam came out of the goal and Christopher Stansen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albinus Gursø kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Frederikshede SIK's Niklas Gurholdt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Faxholt in the 75th minute of play. Jari Vaksø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Frederikshede SIK got a freekick which was hit by Richard Siber. After some careless play in the Frederikshede SIK defense, Jari Vaksø kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niklas Gurholdt. The Frederikshede SIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niklas Gurholdt should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frederikshede SIK's goalkeeper Niklas Gurholdt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Egil Faxholt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Gurholdt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. When Povl Solnør fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frederikshede SIK's protests and gave Povl Solnør a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st match minute, Frederikshede SIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Povl Solnør to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Vesterborg SIK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Frederikshede SIK.
