The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Roald Lington made the kick off in the second half. Nickolas Klokmans short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Mikki Hjellum to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee gave Fjellerup a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Viktor Lannung, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mejdal GIK's Claus Slunt. 1-2. In the 65th minute, Roald Lington ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mikki Hjellum was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Claus Slunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry Whitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Dan Berald managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fjellerup's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Berald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claus Slunt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute of the match, Roald Lington tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mikki Hjellum saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dan Berald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Slunt having to interfere. Claus Slunt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Berald in the 84th minute of the match. Mikki Wajdam helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Mikki Wajdam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle went the supporters of Mejdal GIK were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Fjellerup side.
